Resident Sound Therapist and Yoga Instructor Jana (she/her) came to yoga seeking a deeper mind / body experience during her first year as a defense litigation attorney. She was seeking solace in an extremely vigorous, demanding and stressful profession in the corporate environment. She found that solace first in Kundalini Yoga and later in Hatha Yoga. In addition to the physical benefits of both practices, Jana also discovered that she was able to deepen her meditation practice which has become a cornerstone of her teachings and life’s journey.

Jana specializes in connecting her students to a deeper internal meditative experience. Through the ancient technology of Kundalini Yoga, she integrates: pranayama, dristi, mudra, mantra, live music and meditation in every class.

Jana earned her B.A. and M.A. from Loyola University and her J.D. from Vermont Law School. She completed her 200-hr Kundalini Yoga Training from Spirit Rising Yoga and her 200-hr Hatha Yoga Training from Temple Kriya Yoga.

Jana has straddled both worlds of Corporate America and higher consciousness. As a litigation attorney for 7 years, she has first-hand knowledge and understands the pressures and demands of modern life. Unfulfilled, life changed dramatically for Jana as she consciously shifted course and pursued her life’s passions. She manifested a new more creative career in fashion while teaching yoga, hosting sound baths, & manifestation classes. Jana is a Reiki Master and Akashic Records practitioner. She has lived and worked in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Jana hosts a safe and calm space for individuals to reach their highest potential. She integrates her logical, analytical talents with her creative intuitive gifts. She brings a unique perspective on how to manage your emotional / energetic literacy even in busy urban environments. While not in class, Jana enjoys being in nature with her fellow traveler and dog, Zorro!
