Getting Started

  1. Is Wildlight the right yoga studio for me?
    Maybe. We will support you in discerning whether Wildlight Yoga is the right fit for you and will provide you recommendations for other studios or practitioners we love if we can't fully support you in your journey.

  2. Do I get to practice for free?
    We strongly believe in the dignity of work and rights of workers. As such, we employ our team members fairly as W2 employees in accordance with our values, will never ask our staff to donate their time or expertise, and we do not utilize uncompensated or exploitative labor.

    While we do not offer free classes, we have created numerous programs with financial accessibility in mind: Adventure Month pass, Intro to Yoga videos, and our Jetsetter Library.


  3. Is pre-registration required for classes and workshops?
    Yes, walk-ins are not permitted due to Covid safety precautions. You need to create an account, purchase a pass, and register for classes prior to attending (message us through the app if you need help).


  4. Is pre-payment required for classes and workshops?
    Yes, pre-payment is required for all classes and workshops. Walk-ins are not permitted.


  5. How do I sign up for a class?
    Visit and click "Login" in the upper right corner. Create your account and you'll be ready to pay for your pass, book your services, and manage your account.


  6. How do I manage my own account?
    Click that "Log In" button to access the drop-down menu in a web-browser and/or download the "Fit by Wix" app with the invite code G7K83Z to manage your classes from your phone or device.


  7. How do I bring a friend using my 10-Pack?

    1. Invite your friend to visit and clicking "Login" in the upper right corner. They will be prompted to create an account.

    2. Visit and make sure you're logged in.

    3. Click on the class that you'd like to attend with your friend(s).

    4. Click the drop-down menu to select the number of spaces you would like to reserve. The credits will be deducted from your class pack and your spaces will be reserved.

    5. Enter your friend's name in the message box so the class can be credited to their account and Zoom information sent to them if it's an online class.

    6. Please also note that you will be "charged" all the credits that you register for so if your friend cannot attend, you will need to amend your booking as usual.

  8. How do I bring a friend using my Friend Passes?

    1. Invite your friend to visit If it is their first visit, they will be prompted to create an account.

    2. Once they are logged in, they should select "Drop-In" class and input your unique Friend Pass code. Your code will give them 100% off the purchase of a Drop-In class.

    3. Once they've checked out, they can register for the class that you plan to attend together.

    4. Please note that each member is responsible for managing the uses of their Friend Passes and Wildlight is not responsible for monitoring the use of your passes. Your friends are required to follow Wildlight's cancellation policy.

  9. How do I see the full calendar of classes?
    Visit in a web-browser for calendar view or click Schedule in the app.


  10. Do classes change?
    Classes, times, locations, and instructors are subject to change without notice. We encourage you to download the "Fit by Wix" app to receive up-to-date notifications about any class change, bookmark, and consult the online calendar before heading to the studio.


  11. What is Wildlight’s cancellation policy?
    Wildlight reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet the minimum amount of attendees. Registered students will be notified one hour prior to class via email if the class is canceled.


  12. What is Wildlight’s refund policy?
    All sales are final. There are no refunds or credits for any purchase, for any reason.


  13. Can my child join a regular yoga class?
    We strongly recommend that students are ages 13 years and older. You are responsible for your children and are expected to guide your child out of practice if their needs warrant or behavior becomes disruptive or distracting.


  14. I bought a Jetsetter pass, how do I login?
    Visit the Jetsetter Library and login. If you have a valid pass, you will receive access to our full video library. If you do not have a pass, you will be prompted to buy one.


  15. How do I book a private class or session?
    Our "Training & Healing" services are available here. Upon choosing your type of session, you will be given the option to select your date, time, and instructor based on their availability.

preparing for practice

  1. What do I wear to a yoga class?
    Wear comfortable clothing that gives you free range of motion.


  2. What do I bring to a yoga class?
    Yourself! A mat or props that you'd like to use for practice. We also provide mats and props for your use, but you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Some students also benefit from bringing water and a towel during practice too.


  3. What should I leave at home?
    Any valuables or personal items. Wildlight Yoga LLC is not responsible for theft, damage, or loss.


  4. Can I take a class if I am feeling ill?
    No. Students displaying symptoms of illness will not be permitted to practice. We offer Zoom classes to practice in the comfort and safety of your home without risk of infecting other students.


  5. Can I practice with an injury or medical condition?
    Students of all abilities are welcome at Wildlight Yoga. If you have any health or mobility concerns, we highly recommend receiving clearance from your health care providers prior to practice as we are not medical professionals and do not distribute medical advice of any kind.


  6. Should I eat before class?
    Many students feel best if they haven’t eaten a heavy meal or drank a lot of liquids within an hour or so of practice. Know your body and be kind to your body, fueling as is best for you.


  7. Can I wear perfume?
    Please be mindful of chemical sensitivities and keep any scents, perfume, deodorants, oils, lotions, and fragrances to a minimum.


  8. What is the mask policy?
    In accordance with City of Chicago and State of Illinois mandates and monitoring the recommendations of the CDC, masks are no longer required for participation in group fitness classes.


  1. Is there parking at the studio?
    There is ample metered street parking on Milwaukee Ave., free parking on Cuyler and Belle Plaine, a metered city lot at Cuyler and LaPorte, and bike parking right out front. Wildlight is also accessible by the Irving Park, Milwaukee, and Cicero buses. 


  2. How do I find the studio?
    We are located at 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave. #302. The front door will unlock 15 minutes before class begins. We recommend walking to the back of the first floor hallway to access the elevator. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor. Turn left out of the elevator and enter through the second single door on the right, at the end of the hall. You will move through the Collaborative coworking space and enter our space through the door on the left.


  3. Is the studio ADA accessible?
    Yes, there is an elevator and ramp to enter the studio.


  4. What if I can’t attend a class?
    You can deregister for any class without penalty up to 15 minutes prior to the class using the "Fit by Wix" app under "Manage Bookings" or a web-browser under "My Bookings." Click the drop-down menu to select "Cancel." Failure to deregister for a class at least 15 minutes in advance will result in the deduction of a class credit from your account.


  5. Can I still join if I’m running late?
    No, for the safety of our students and staff, our doors are locked at the beginning of class. You can deregister from a class up to 15 minutes prior to the class. If you do not deregister from the class it will result in the deduction of a class credit from your account.


  6. Can I call if I’m running late and ask for the door to be left unlocked?
    No, we do not have a phone in the studio so as to not disrupt our classes.


  7. Will I be charged if I miss a class?
    Yes, you will be charged the class credit for any class that you did not deregister from 15 minutes or more prior to class. For your convenience, this information is included upon sign-up and in the receipt you received when you purchased your pass. We recommend downloading the "Fit by Wix" app so that you can deregister from your phone or device.


  8. What happens if it snows?
    Wildlight maintains an inclement weather policy in accordance with Chicago Public Schools. If CPS cancels school, Wildlight will cancel all in-studio classes. All classes will still be offered via Zoom. In-studio classes will be cancelled in our app, registered students will be notified, and your credits returned. You will not be automatically transferred to Zoom. If you'd like to participate via Zoom, you'll need to register for the class as usual.


  1. How early should I arrive for class?
    Doors automatically unlock 15 minutes prior to class and automatically lock at class start time. Please refrain from knocking on the door if it’s locked as it’s disruptive to meditation and practice. No one will be permitted into class once it begins to ensure the safety of all students.


  2. What is studio etiquette?
    Please keep in mind that you are entering a sacred space and reverence for ourselves, each other, our space, and this ancient practice is honored.

    Please remove your shoes at the door and utilize the coat rack and lockers for your belongings in order to keep the practice space clear and safe. 

    Please be mindful that some students value this time meditation so please enter quietly, refrain from loud conversation, cell phone use, and other distractions. Choose your space in the studio, roll out your mat and gather your props quietly. Please do not step on the mats of others. 


  3. Does Wildlight have mats and props for me to use?
    For in-studio classes, we provide mats and props for you to use, but you are welcome to bring your own.


  1. Can I wear socks while I practice?
    You may wear socks if they're most comfortable for you, but we recommend practicing with bare feet for safety reasons.


  2. What is your policy for hands-on adjustments?
    All of our instructors are trained to provide hands-on adjustments and may or may not offer them in their classes. They are also trained to use consent cards as students have agency over their own practice and bodies at all times. Please feel empowered to use your consent card and flip it to either side as you wish or as your needs change. Our instructors will respect you and your space.


  3. What if I need to leave class early? 
    Students are expected to stay for the duration of a class. If a special occasion has arisen wherein you need to leave early, please notify your instructor prior to the beginning of class. When it’s time to leave, please gather your belongings quietly and exit quietly. Please be respectful of your fellow students and do not leave a class during savasana unless it’s an emergency.


  4. Can my child hang out in the studio during class?
    Wildlight Yoga does not offer childcare at our studio.


  5. Can my friend hang out in the studio while I practice?
    For the safety of all involved, only registered students are permitted in the studio during class 


  1. Can I leave my mat or belongings at the studio?
    As a perk of membership may store your mats at the studio as long as it bears your name. Locker storage is not available at this time.


  2. I left my belongings at the studio, are they still there?
    We have a lost and found basket by our front coat rack where all found items are placed. Unclaimed items are donated monthly. Wildlight is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.


  3. Can I share my 10-Class pack with a friend?
    Absolutely! When you register, enter your friend's name and email on the left. Then register again for yourself!


  4. Can I practice at home if I can’t make a class this week?
    All of our classes are offered virtually via Zoom. Otherwise, we invite you to purchase a Jetsetter pass and have unlimited access to our pre-recorded video library!


  5. Can I practice with you virtually?
    Yes, all of our in-studio classes are offered virtually via Zoom too!


  6. How do I get ahold of someone at the studio?
    Click that chat box on the right or message us through the app.


  1. You should arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. Please understand that late arrivals will result in the appointment time being shortened accordingly.

  2. You will be required to complete a waiver, if you haven't prior to your appointment time.

  3. If you need to reschedule your appointment, you must notify your practitioner at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time. Appointments must be rescheduled as there is no ability to maintain a credit on your account. If you do not reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, you will forfeit the full amount of your appointment.

  4. All sales are final. There are no refunds or credits for any purchase, for any reason.


  1. Memberships include unlimited regularly scheduled classes (live, outdoor, in-studio) and do not include workshops or special events. Memberships auto-renew on a monthly or annual basis.

  2. Memberships are non-refundable and no credits may be issued for any reason.

  3. Memberships will not be pro-rated for any reason, but can be canceled anytime before the next payment is charged.

  4. Memberships may be canceled at any time by logging into your account at on a web-browser or in our app. Navigate to "My Subscriptions" and find your pass. Click the down arrow next to 'Active' and then 'Cancel My Subscription.' 

  5. Wildlight Yoga is in no way, under any circumstances, responsible for or obligated to refund under any circumstances, membership fees charged to members' accounts due to members' failure or negligence in canceling their membership.

  6. Wildlight Yoga is in no way, under any circumstances, responsible or obligated to pay for members’ insufficient fund penalties, returned checks, and/or over the limit fees.  

  7. If a member’s credit card is declined for any reason, the member is required to supply an updated or alternate credit card and will still be responsible for the remaining membership fees due until membership is canceled.

  8. There will be no verbal agreements honored or executed for any reason. Written requests for amendments will only be accepted to

  9. Drop-In classes, Class Packs, 30-Day passes, Jetsetter passes, Adventure Month passes or any other pack, pass, or plan do not bear any benefit of membership at Wildlight Yoga.
