About the event

Join us for a two-hour yin practice to process the summer and its abundant fruits with yin-lover Kate Lassiter. We’re going to rest and digest our way to a new season and, possibly, a new you!

Fall harvest in the northern hemisphere is a time to take stock as we transition from high energy, rapid growth, and summer sun. It's a time to pause, see what we've grown, and what else we need to bring in from the rich soil before the gusts of wind bring down the leaves and the first frost gives us a chill. After all, these are the fruits of our labor that are going to feed us until the next regenerative cycle! In the yin and Taoist yoga system, fall (technically late summer) brings a yin energy associated with the element of earth, and the stomach and spleen organs. As such, we'll be focusing on yin poses that emphasize the quads, inner thighs, abdomen self-massage, and lymphatic drainage areas. We will end our time in a svasana that will recalibrate you for your always deserved rest.

Come take a break with a practice designed to help you to find a slower tempo, to process the nitty gritty, and to find the joys that nourish you. Let's be sated together through a cornucopia of yin!
