ABOUT OUR YOGA & MEDITATION CLASSES

GENTLE

A slow, guided practice for all levels. This class is a great option for brand-new yogis and seasoned practitioners alike, offering a continuous yet easeful flow. Gentle may include a combination of seated, standing, and reclined postures with generous use of props.

KUNDALINI

An energy-focused practice with emphasis on pranayama (breath work), mantra, mudra (hand position), and meditation. Kundalini yoga is meant to balance the body's energy and boost vitality.

VINYASA

A flowing practice connecting continuous movement to the breath. Vinyasa yoga is a great option for practitioners who are familiar with foundational postures, as it is a faster-paced flow. Challenging peak postures may be offered to prepare the mind and body for deep rest (savasana).

YIN

A passive practice for the bones, ligaments, joints, and fascia. Postures are held for several minutes with the support of props for gentle activation of connective tissues, while still offering a deeply meditative experience.

HATHA

An energetically balanced practice with focus on alignment, muscle engagement, and deep stretch. Hatha yoga breaks down foundational postures in great detail, slowly enough to notice what you feel in your body in each shape, while maintaining a sense of flow and rhythm.

RESTORATIVE

A relaxing practice meant to invite the body into a state of healing restoration and stress relief. Students can expect to take a combination of seated and reclined postures, fully supported by props. Each posture is held for several minutes to completely relax and sink in.

VINYASA + MEDITATION

A flowing practice connecting continuous movement to the breath, with extended time for meditation. Students can expect the asana practice to be bookended by a brief opening meditation and an extended savasana.

YOGA STRENGTH

A heat-building flow using dynamic movement, light weights, and static postures to build strength. Yoga Strength offers more of a "workout", while still offering movement that is mindful, low-impact, and meant to support your over-all yoga practice. Students can expect to work up a sweat!
