Kelli Wefenstette (she/her) came to yoga seeking movement post-college after a childhood of dance and acrobats. She unexpectedly found healing from anxiety, grief, and auto-immune illness. Yoga brought her safely home to her body as her magic and her medicine for living abundantly and unapologetically. Yoga is her freedom journey towards a life of awakening, authenticity, and adventure.

Kelli teaches a koshic model of integration incorporating curious movement, alignment, somatics, and exploration of body mechanics combined with mindfulness and emotional regulation for an empowered, embodied experience on and off the mat.

Kelli earned her BA in Psychology and Religious Studios from Monmouth College and a MA in Social Justice and Community Development from Loyola University Chicago. She completed a 200-hr Hatha yoga teacher training with Global Yoga and Wellness and a 300-hr Elemental yoga teacher training in Ubud, Bali with Lotus Yoga Temple. She has completed further studies in prenatal and yin yoga, Ayurveda, nervous system regulation, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Thai Yoga Massage, and psych-sensitive, trauma-informed yoga instruction.

A Community Organizer trained in Asset-Based Community Development, Kelli opened Wildlight Yoga in 2018, where she is currently the Director, after serving as the Executive Director of the Six Corners Association where she worked for 6 years prior. When she's not practicing yoga, she is renovating her lake house near her hometown of Cuba, Illinois, cheering with the Chicago Spirit Brigade, studying herbalism, and taking naps with her cat, Jubilee.
