Ashley Vonasek (she/her) initially came to yoga looking for a new fitness element to add to her workout routine. Over the years, as she explored various styles of classes, teachers, studios, workshops and trainings, she realized there were far more benefits than just the physical. Yoga has become her tool to being more aware and alive in her own body, breath and mind on and off the mat.

Ashley completed 200 hr yoga teacher training in Seattle with Sanga Yoga School in 2021. She has completed further studies in Yin and, as a forever student, looks forward to completing more along the way.

Ashley likes to encourage rest (yin) as an antidote to stressful, active lifestyles (yang). She teaches slow styles of movement and breath that focus on mental & physical stillness. A typical Restorative or Yin class offered by her incorporates a little yoga, a little stretching, a little breathwork and a lot of
mind relaxation. Ahhh!

When she’s not on the mat, she is often tinkering on home projects, getting her hands dirty in a garden, at a concert, walking/running/biking/paddleboarding around Albany Park or northern WI, traveling to far off lands with her husband Kevin, and playing with her little pup, Ozzy
