About the event

This is a call for all the mothers, other-mothers, women, daughters, and all nurturing souls who desire sustenance and celebration of their person, their bodies, and their souls no matter where you are on this journey! This two hour yin workshop is a raucous celebration of what you give and what you receive. It's an opportunity to attend to the heart, to make space for new connections of care and meaning, and, as needed, as opportunity to mourn and let go of hurts, missed connections, and opportunities for future (or even this, but later!) lifetimes.

Much beloved Wildlight teacher Dr. Kate Lassiter will accompany you through celebration as you nurture all that you create and all that you are called to create on your path. She will walk with you and the gathered sangha through all that must be mourned, so that you can move toward fullness and peace as we mother and nurture, over and over again, in a variety of forms and relationships. We will walk a path together using yin yoga, breathwork, guided meditation, and music. Yin yoga is a passive yoga that features moon qualities of stillness while stretching the fascia, ligaments, and joints. Come nurture your soul and return to your True Self through yin and personalized hands-on Reiki. Yogis of all levels welcome!

About your instructor:

With a voice that soothes jangled nerves, Kate (she/her) specializes in the Taoist yoga tradition. She completed her 200-hour training with Matt Eshelman at You Do Yoga, focusing on functional anatomy and yin yoga, and her 500-hour training with Will Brashear at Lotus Yoga Temple, focusing on the integration of Thai Yoga, the meridians, and five element theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Kate draws from her vast skill set across the yogic tradition and healing arts, her love for the land, and her doctoral training in Religion and Psychology to offer classes and workshops that invite students toward embodied wisdom and inner knowing.
