Can I wear socks during class?
You may wear socks if they're most comfortable for you, but we recommend practicing with bare feet for safety reasons.
What is your policy for hands-on adjustments?
All of our instructors are trained to provide hands-on adjustments and may or may not offer them in their classes. They are also trained to use consent cards as students have agency over their own practice and bodies at all times. Please feel empowered to use your consent card and flip it to either side as you wish or as your needs change. Our instructors will respect you and your space.
Can I leave a class before it ends?
We recommend staying for the entire class to fully benefit from your practice. If you must leave early, inform your instructor beforehand. Please exit quietly and respectfully, especially during savasana. In emergencies, leave your mat and props to minimize disruption.
Can my child hang out in the studio during class?
Children are not permitted during classes as Wildlight does not offer childcare.
Can I sit in the studio and watch a class without paying for it?
For the safety of all our students and staff, we do not allow visitors in the studio during classes.
What is studio etiquette?
Wildlight is a shared, intentional space. We ask everyone to help care for the space with presence, respect, and consideration for one another. These shared agreements help create a calm, safe, and grounded environment for all.
Entering the space
Please remove your shoes at the door and use the coat rack or lockers for personal belongings so walkways and practice areas remain clear and safe. You’re welcome to bring a lock if you’d like to secure your items during class.
There are no phones permitted in the studio.
Arriving and settling in
Many students use this time for quiet reflection or meditation. Please enter mindfully, close the door softly, and keep voices low. Choose a spot, roll out your mat, and gather any props you need with as little disruption as possible.
Respecting shared space
Please be mindful not to step on others’ mats, as each mat represents someone’s personal practice space. Moving with awareness helps maintain a sense of mutual respect and ease.
During class
You’re always welcome to move at your own pace, rest, or modify as needed. If you need to leave early due to an emergency, you may do so quietly. When possible, we ask that you exit before final rest and leave your mat and props in place to minimize disruption for others.
