Wildlight Yoga seeks an enthusiastic and hardworking wanderer with an adventurous spirit and unparalleled customer service experience to be our Studio Manager. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, intelligent individual who is passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga as a lifestyle and journey.


Wildlight Yoga encourages awakening, authenticity, and adventure through the transformative practice and lifestyle of yoga. We are an adventure-inspired yoga studio located in the Portage Park neighborhood of Chicago offering high-quality, fun, accessible yoga classes and retreats for students of all experiences. We will open in September 2018.


Our Studio Manager will serve as the key staff for the studio and is responsible for day-to-day studio operations and the overall needs of front desk, facilities, maintenance, and cleanliness of the studio. Driving studio sales, providing excellent customer service, and exhibiting and modeling studio leadership are all required for success in this position. This position reports to the Studio Owner.


1. Create a warm and welcoming studio environment
     - Greet every new or returning student by name upon check in
     - Welcome new students into the studio + give them a tour
     - Answer questions in a sensitive + compassionate manner
     - Coordinate utmost organization of front desk + reception area
     - Ensure impeccable cleanliness of studio, reception, + facilities
2. Serve as the key ambassador for Wildlight Yoga
     - Practice and model a yogic lifestyle
     - Communicate, demonstrate, and live out Wildlight Yoga’s mission and values
     - Gain personal experience by attending classes in each style, with each teacher
     - Possess an in-depth understanding of classes, packages, benefits, and offerings
     - Provide tailored recommendations for students based on their unique needs
3. Provide exemplary customer service and administration
     - Demonstrate an unwavering positive attitude in all circumstances
     - Provide follow up calls, emails, and membership recommendations to students
     - Answer all emails, phone calls, and visits with professionalism and urgency
     - Communicate effectively with owner + instructors including daily reports
     - Assist in coordinating class schedule + updating changes
     - Open and/or close the studio in a punctual manner ensuring safety compliance
     - Light cleaning and studio maintenance
     - Other responsibilities not yet assigned

Ideal Candidate:

> Passionate about yoga and commitment to personal growth
> Strong knowledge of Portage Park community, Six Corners, and surrounding neighborhoods
> Community-minded and enthusiastic about collaboration
> Excellent customer service, sales, writing and communication skills
> Superior computer skills with experience using gSuite, Canva, social media platforms, Squarespace, Square, and the ability to learn and manage a CRM
> Minimum 1-2 years in customer service, sales, marketing
> Must be available to work nights and weekends


> Strong, clear written and verbal communication skills free from grammatical error
> Possess a sense of urgency when responding to clients, vendors, and staff
> The capacity to take initiative, prioritize, multi-task, problem solve, and work independently without monitoring
> Strong work ethic, adaptability, punctuality, reliability, dependability, trustworthiness
> Access to reliable transportation to and from the studio


> $14 per hour, up to 20 hours per week to start, with room for growth
> Paid sick days and Paid Time Off
