Build Your Yoga Basics at Wildlight
Entering a new space, introducing yourself and talking to new people isn’t easy. So we’re especially grateful for all ten souls who attended our first workshop Build Your Yoga Basics at Wildlight Yoga on Friday, October 5th.
Workshops offer a wonderful chance to build community, learn new skills, and enhance our personal practices. Our students shared about themselves and their practices. We talked about what yoga is to each of us individually and what Om is all about in addition to an introduction of the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the 8 Limb (Ashtanga) Path. We moved our bodies covering blueprint yoga postures and how to use blocks, straps, and bolsters for modifications and to improve the experience of poses as well as staying safe in our postures. We wrapped up with restorative time and a dip into breath work and meditation.
